Curved Right Ranch is about more than building an off-grid ranch. It is about independence, responsible land ownership, stronger rural communities, and standing up for people whose voices are too often ignored.
As Curved Right Ranch grows, we want to use part of that success to support causes that matter to us and the communities around us. Sometimes that may mean helping an established organization. Other times, it may mean creating a special product, supporting a local program, funding public education, or organizing an advocacy campaign of our own.
We may not be able to help everyone, but we will help where we can—and we will work to use every contribution wisely.
Wildfire Prevention and Responsible Land Management
Wildfire is a serious threat to rural communities, ranches, wildlife, and Arizona’s forests and grasslands. We support practical land-management efforts that reduce hazardous fuel, improve forest and rangeland health, protect watersheds, and help communities prepare for wildfire.
We believe responsible stewardship requires active management, local knowledge, common sense, and cooperation among property owners, ranchers, agencies, and communities.
Protecting Rural Communities
Small rural communities should not be treated as empty spaces where outside interests can place massive industrial projects without meaningful local involvement.
Curved Right Ranch supports responsible scrutiny of proposed industrial wind farms, utility-scale solar developments, battery energy storage systems (BESS), transmission projects, and the infrastructure accompanying them.
Communities deserve honest information and meaningful answers about wildfire risk, water use, environmental effects, emergency response, property values, roads, viewsheds, wildlife, long-term cleanup, and who actually benefits from a project.
We intend to help residents make their voices heard through public education, community outreach, research, professional advocacy, and legislative efforts. This may include supporting efforts to oppose projects that we believe would harm Seligman, Northern Arizona, or other rural communities.
Giving Rural America a Stronger Voice
Decisions affecting rural communities are often made by corporations, investors, and political interests located far away from the people who must live with the consequences.
Part of our mission is to bring greater attention to those decisions. Funds raised through certain Curved Right Ranch products or campaigns may support public-information and advocacy efforts, including reporting and content produced through OBNX News.
Our goal is to investigate the issues, explain what is happening in plain language, give local residents a platform, and make sure politicians and decision-makers hear from the people they represent—not only from well-funded corporate interests.
Supporting Youth and Local Programs
Young people need opportunities, encouragement, practical experience, and adults willing to invest in their future.
We want to support youth programs that promote education, agriculture, skilled trades, outdoor recreation, entrepreneurship, animal care, community involvement, and other experiences that help young people build confidence and useful skills.
Support may include fundraising, product donations, sponsorships, equipment, supplies, event participation, or direct assistance to qualifying programs.
Helping Older Americans Build a New Beginning
The business world has changed, and many hardworking people have reached retirement age without the financial security they spent a lifetime expecting to have.
For some, off-grid living, homesteading, downsizing, or building a tiny home is not simply an adventure. It may be their best opportunity to remain independent and create a safe, affordable place to live.
As we learn through our own journey, we want to share practical information, affordable ideas, honest product testing, and real-world experience that may help others create a new beginning. As our resources grow, we also hope to find meaningful ways to assist older people facing financial hardship.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, purpose, and hope—regardless of the size of their home or retirement account.
How Our Campaign Products Work
Products or collections connected to a particular cause will be identified on the product page or in our promotional materials. Curved Right Ranch will determine the contribution or resources provided based on the overall results of each campaign and where we believe the funds can make the greatest difference.
We will not promise that a fixed dollar amount or percentage from every purchase will be donated unless a specific campaign expressly says otherwise. Funds may be used for direct assistance, donations, educational materials, research, reporting, outreach, professional services, advocacy, or other reasonable expenses supporting the campaign’s purpose.
Because customers receive a product in exchange for their purchase, purchases through Curved Right Ranch are not charitable donations and should not be claimed as tax-deductible contributions.
